RECYCLING AND THE ENVIRONMENT

At Office Evolution Ltd we maintain an Environmental Policy which sets out our policy for dealing with the impact that our operations have on the environment.

We have split these targets and policies into three sections, Our Company, Our Customers and Our Suppliers.

  • Our Company
  • We recycle all packaging through local schemes, this will include, Cardboard, Pallets, Bottles, Paper and Plastic.
  • We maintain our buildings so as to reduce our carbon footprint, this will include energy efficient lighting, insulation, monitoring of water consumption.
  • We select company vehicles that are the most efficient in the range, using technology such as Bluetec, and Bluemotion.
  • We implement the latest technology to reduce our annual mileage and enable us to resolve issues using the internet.
  • Our Customers
  • We ensure that toner cartridges are recycled and removed from customers' premises.
  • We recommend and adjust our machines to work with recycled media.
  • We offer standard double siding on all products to reduce paper usage.
  • We ensure that power saving options are set to reduce power consumption
  • We offer to set up onboard timers switching the machines on and off automatically.
  • We recycle old machines through our trade partners to ensure disposal is environmentally friendly.
  • We offer additional software systems that only release print jobs when the user is present at the machine, reducing wasted prints.
  • Our Suppliers
  • We select our suppliers based on their ability to provide products that enable us to offer our customers the aims above.
  • We ensure our suppliers have an environmental policy in place.
  • Our suppliers must offer machines that use lead free solder in their construction and use recyclable materials in their panels.
  • All of our suppliers products must meet the Blue Angel standards introduced in 1978.
  • All products must be Energy Star compliant.
  • We select suppliers whose products are RoHS compliant.
  • We select products where at least 90% of the parts are recyclable.
  • We select products that are manufactured at plants that are ISO14001 compliant.
